SALISBURY, (GLOBE NEWSWIRE), — Retail Services, a service company owned by Ahold Delhaize USA, announced it will launch a new initiative to improve product information capabilities for Ahold Delhaize USA companies. Retail Business Services will be joining the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) with Syndigo to provide the best-in class product information for its retailers.

Chris Adams, vice president of Category Management Services at Retail Business Services stated that customers want consistent, clear, and accurate information about the products they purchase online and in-store. “By joining GDSN, we will be able to better equip local brands and provide product information. Customers will also experience greater accuracy.

Retail Business Services continues to enhance its data capabilities through this latest move. Retail Business Services joined GDSN and works with GS1 to support the development of global data standards. SmartLabel, a global program, provides instantaneous information to consumers about thousands of personal, household and pet care products. More than 11,000 products are available from private brands.

Adams stated that Adams strives to be the best when it comes to product data. The best data services can be provided to grocery retailers by adopting a holistic approach, best practice and innovation.
